Plug seems to have quite a lot of labels, and to his pleasure these were all given freely and without solicitation. He particularly likes ‘Baby Boomer’, for he boomed many a baby in his time and, delightfully, these very babies generously applied most of the labels. ‘White Privilege’ and ‘Old Fart’ are recent recognitions.
When these latest honours were awarded Plug naively hoped the givers would be interested in his personal story. Sadly not so, but perhaps that is a good thing, for his uniqueness would be revealed and the awards perhaps removed. He would hate to face that isolation again.
